In the Beginning
Crossroads was founded by Cynthia Lowe in February of 1997. She sensed the need for an institution that focused on educating students who learned in a variety of different ways and speeds. This began to burden Mrs. Lowe to the point that she wanted to act and begin a school that would fulfill this need in the community.
With a tremendous amount of time and energy Mrs. Lowe renovated a building located in Cedar Hill turning it into a school. It started with thirteen students of all ages accommodating grade levels three thru twelve. The school began growing and providing students with quality education, enhancing their self image, and providing a casual atmosphere that cultivated their personal expression and innovative learning.
Due to our large increase in enrollment we relocated to the Ed Teal building of the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in 2006. We are now home to more than two hundred students, and employ thirteen teachers. The first year of existence the school graduated seven students. In 2009 we had more than one hundred and thirty students graduate coming from eighteen cities.

Did NOT Walk With Your Class?? Still Need Your Diploma??
Having problems with the TAKS test? This test is not required by the state to graduate. Don't let it stop you from pursuing your dreams. Regardless of what you have been told colleges do not ask for these scores. Test scores are not always indicative of a person's abilities! We are still currently offering our Study Skills program for those who did not graduate with their class!
